DIVISION 1 DIRECTOR - RODNEY
AUDETTE
I am proud
to say that I am a second generation Municipal Administrator, following in
my father's chosen profession. I graduated from Milestone High School in 1988,
and after a very eventful first year of university at the University of Saskatchewan,
I enrolled in the LGA Course through the University of Regina in 1990. I completed
the LGA Course in 1991 and started my "tutelage" by Ernie Audette
at the Town of Milestone/R.M. of Caledonia #99, I was told to start sending
out my resume. In November, 1991, I was employed with the Town of Lampman
as Assistant Administrator. In June, 1992, upon receiving my Class "C"
Certificate, I was appointed Administrator. In June 1997 I received my Urban
Class "A" Certificate and Rural Class "C" Certificate.
In May 2002, we moved to Carnduff, where I assumed the Administrator responsibilities
there.
My most enjoyable times are when I am involved in my families activities.
My wife Linda and I are very active and supportive in our children's lives.
Matthew, Jennifer and Shaelyn are involved in a number of sports and activities
in the community and it makes me extremely proud to see them participating
in activities that makes them smile.
Over and above the work that sneaks up on one at the town office, I am very
active in the community being involved with the Lions Club, 2004 Centennial
Committee, Economic Development Committee, Millennium Estates Inc., and various
other committees. I enjoy golfing, fishing, well heck anything outdoors and
that has to do with family.
I was elected as Division 1 Director in 2004.

DIVISION 2 DIRECTOR - DEB
MACHAY
Maple Creek is where I was born, and raised on a mixed farm/ranch in the area. After graduating from high school, I attended Business College in Medicine Hat and started my employment career at the Maple Creek Credit Union. While I had a very young family at home, I worked part time in a chiropractic office. In 1984 I had the opportunity to broaden my horizons and entered the field of Municipal Government with the Town of Maple Creek. After progressing from part-time to Assistant Administrator ll, I received my LGA and Urban “C” in 1989 and became Assistant Administrator in March of 1999. Since 2001, I have been designated “Acting Administrator” for three different terms. It is during those times that I learned what a supportive and helpful organization UMAAS is!
I have been involved in many community groups and ad hoc Town committees for Centennial and other events. During any spare time that may come my way, I enjoy reading, gardening, walking, crafts and traveling . I just learned recently that winter trips south are very important to maintain vitamin D levels! My husband Dan and I enjoy our home in Maple Creek and spending time with our married son, daughter and grandson.
This is my first term on the executive. I look forward to working with everyone and the learning opportunity.

DIVISION 6 DIRECTOR - SHELLEY
FUNK
Shelley Funk Administrator,
Town of Dalmeny
Shelley was born in Prince Albert and raised in Saskatoon.
She attended the University of Saskatchewan and Kelsey Institute, graduating
as a biological lab tech.
However, marriage meant a move into rural Saskatchewan,
beginning at Main Centre (northeast of Swift Current), and moving to the Aberdeen
area, then to Dalmeny. Shelley has two grown children with husband Al, both
of whom live in Saskatoon. There are also three grandchildren. She started
as an administrator in Aberdeen in 1982, having first worked part time at
the local school. What started as a part time job when her children were in
school, quickly became a full time passion.
Upon graduation from the Local Government Administration course,
Shelley obtained first an urban C and then A certification. In 1994 she accepted
the position of Administrator in the Town of Dalmeny, and continues in that
position today.
Shelley and Al live in Dalmeny and participate in the many
social activities there. Family is close in the surrounding area, including
the children and grandchildren, so life is very busy. Shelley has been involved
in various community activities including 2003 organization and fundraising
for the new $3M arena complex. Summer vacation and weekends are spent at the
cabin at Waskesiu. |
